Nestled in the rolling hills just outside Middleburg, Virginia, Goodstone Inn & Restaurant provided the perfect setting for an intimate and refined styled shoot inspired by the timeless elegance of Virginia’s hunt country. With ivy-covered stone walls, sweeping pastoral views, and a touch of golden-hour magic, this editorial was designed by Sarah K Events to blend sophistication with natural charm.
The shoot’s palette of hunter green, champagne, and gold echoed the textures of the estate’s stonework and surrounding landscapes. A lush hunter green velvet tablecloth served as the foundation for a floral masterpiece by Petal Pushers—a centerpiece overflowing with local blooms and finished with a delicate flower runner and glowing tapered candles.
At the heart of the ceremony was the historic stone wall, once the original front of the manor. It created a breathtaking backdrop for a dusk ceremony lit by candlelight and framed by soft floral arrangements. The bride wore a lace gown with removable shoulder bows from The Valley Bride, adding a romantic vintage feel with a modern twist. Christian Caine Designs completed the look with timeless jewelry, while Studio Verde styled her hair for an effortlessly elegant finish.
As the bride prepared in the manor, the groom relaxed in the estate’s wine cellar—complete with a drink and a cigar from Long Ridge Cigars—creating the perfect gentleman’s moment. The reception continued poolside, where the cake by Cakes by Ashton tied together elements of the bride’s lace and the shoot’s signature hues with white rose accents.
